About the Course

Greenwashing can occur in many different ways and can be defined as:

  • Misleading the public by stressing the environmental credentials of a person, a product or an organisation when these are unfounded or irrelevant
  • An environmental claim which is unsubstantiated (a fib) or irrelevant (a distraction)
  • Describing the fraud made by companies when they pretend they help the environment by using green marketing
